Learning Styles

1. List 3 of your strongest learning styles. Write down what each of them means:
  • Enviornmental-People who relate to their climate, the atmosphere, the elements, and the related experience.
  • Intrapersonal-People who set goals, meditate, dreaming, being quiet, and are aware of their inner spiritual state of being.
  • Musical-Rythmic-People who sing whistle, tap their feet to the rythm of the music, and listening to music. Always recognizing patterns or sounds.

2. List 3 of your weakest learning styles. Write down what each of them means:

  • Logical-Mathematical-Experimenting, questioning, figuring out logical puzzles, and calculating, etc.
  • Visual-Spatial-Designing, drawing, visualizing, doodling, etc. Usually very good at abstract thinking.
  • Verbal Liguistic- Reading, writing, and telling stories, playing word games etc.

3. Using your answers to questions 1 and 2, list three things that you can do to improve the way you learn. Also list three things that teachers can do to help you learn better in class.

I can:

  • Ask more questions
  • Pay more attention during class
  • Come to office hours or ask a friend

Teachers can:

  • Ask if kids understand
  • Review more if he/she feels the class still doesn't get it
  • Ask the kids for feedback on how they're teaching
